North Bay Village is a group of islands that are only a short drive North from Miami within the Intracoastal Waterway, surrounded by the gorgeous shimmering waters of Biscayne Bay. This area initially became widely known for its popular restaurants and nightclubs, which attracted celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Judy Garland. Today, North Bay Village is still home to several of South Florida’s most popular restaurants, as well as an array of business enterprises, apartment buildings, and luxurious condominiums. This island neighborhood features a school, a park, various restaurants and lounges, and a wide range of boating facilities, like convenient marinas and rental amenities. Although many of the Biscayne Key barrier islands residents prefer to get around by boat, those more used to more traditional means of transport would definitely appreciate the city’s perfect connection both to the mainland and Miami Beach with its opulent golf courses, lively nightlife, and beaches that stretch out for miles.
The closest mainland attraction is Wynwood, a quaint artistic neighborhood filled with street art and small business designer stores.
